Inspiration found today....

Was stuck at home today not very well - and realised that Sam is 11 next Saturday. He's having some of the boys over for a campout so I made him these invites - it was easy because there's only 4 to make. The first part of working out the sizes on the computer for the side triangles took the longest, then the rest just flowed - they weren't planned this way, they just happened...Sam dropped one on the way to the car, and I did the old - great Sam, they only took 3 hours to make (oops), at the last drop off point, they were ooohing & aahhhing over them and said - lord, these must have taken forever to make - and yes you guessed that I played it down (like we all do) and said they were just something rustled up this afternoon - to which Sam turned round and said - but you said they took forever to make - WOAH - that totally came round and bit me on the bum......

Anyone in search of inspiration for 2008....

If anyone is in search of some New Years inspiration, drop us a comment....Bex & I are on the hunt fo continuity...I'd just be happy to find my mojo........I've even stopped buying on Trade Me so it must be bad. School prizegiving tomorrow and the ball and the float parade (which we won for our section) photos to develop & prizegiving in the morning. I'm currently making club sandwiches for Sam, and traffic light jellies for Tom - with lollipops in them, then I'll have the Christmas day pics (and last years still to do ) - I'd better set the challenge quick.......

White Lights.....Bah Humbug

Well this weekend say me having a nervous breakdown in the Warehouse - why - because my boys asked me for coloured lights for their tree - bloody coloured lights when they know that I'm a white light girl - I have thousands of them (literally) they usually adorn my house, garden, trees - I have books on white ight decoration, you name it...but only little white lights....So I had my own kinds silent temper tantrum... As everyone who knows me knows that I love boys ( never wanted daughters ) I actually found myself hissing under my breath - if I had daughters THEY wouldn't want coloured lights, because THEY would know that white lights with anything. Literally hyperventilating going through the checkouts with a box of 250 coloured bulb lights - got outside, and got home. Then had my wallet / cards / money taken off me - I'D LOST MY POCKET MONEY FOR A WEEK FOR BAD BEHAVIOUR..........As they say - what goes around.................

Thanks A for the comments....

I must admit theat the cards have been ringing the right bells rather than scrapbooking at the moment. Alot of these have been made with clip art too....You can tell when I've been in at school teaching......

Christmas Cards

Tuesday, December 04, 2007

Oh My Giddy Aunt

How long has it been since I posted. Most un-intentional. Sick kids, sick husbands & me being the most healthy of all of us (which is saying something).I've had Tom in hospital for grommets which wasn't expected - we went to the ear surgeons and he said we have to get him in right away - got in the car and drove down there....Then John fell in the milking shed and bust his hip and still can't use it properly - Sam got sinusitis & was really sick and I was on the verge of getting the house blessed -lol.......I'm waiting to do to Dunedin to see the surgeon and finally, 1st of December saw my friend and myself oraganise Putaruru Christmas Ball for 180 people which came round rather fast......The Christmas cards are about to go out, and I have spent a little more time on facebook than I should. Most of the girls from the shop were at the ball on Saturday night, and we all had a great time - even with me being the sober driver - actually John was more than tipsy before dinner, so I had to give in!! The Putaruru Hotel was taken back to yesteryear..As usual, I found myself in Tauranga on the morning of the ball buying an outfit - nothing ever changes. Well, I shall get my Christmas cards photographed and get them on line soon, and I won't leave it as long this time..

16th Annieversary

Well today is our 16th wedding anniversary and I can't believe that time has flown soooo quickly. It's been a busy build up over the last few weeks with me in and out of hospital for a few weeks - then the first hospital free break in a while - saw Tom writing in agony with an ear infection. By 1am last Sunday night / Monday morning, I had to ring through to A & E at Tokoroa because he was dosed up to the nines with Pamol, kids Ibruprofen AND the full sedative dose of Phenergan, so they asked me to whisk him down there (the longest 1/2 hour drive ever with him screaming in the back) - and he ended up high as a kite on morphine and laughing gas. It was funny to watch him lie on his back and laugh at the light shades - well that was until at 3am when he was loaded back into the car to go home, and the effects had worn off - so I had a 1/2 hour drive home with absolutely no chance of falling asleep at the wheel - because he screamed all the way home too.......He writhed in agony until 7am when his eardrum burst for the 4th time (aaagh), then it was time for me to get his brother on his merry way to school as the bus comes at 8am - to which Tom woke back up in agony and had to go to the doctors...I swear to God that it's taken me the whole week to get back on track - 1 night with no sleep buggered me out for the whole week. What happened to all night parties and into work the next day???? I feel soooooo old when I think about it. Probably because the Saturday before, we'd been to the beach with the motorbikes - John managed to get the truck stuck - to which he will never live that down because it's the second time - the kids stayed over at Bexs' and I had the best nights sleep ever - bloody kids have to spoil the memory - lol........ At least calving at our place is coming to an end, and everyones getting some time off for a break and a lie in. It's major de-clutter and spring clean in readdiness for the school holidays, so I'd better go back to room number 2 - the kids don't seem to notice that I've thrown away their broken toys etc....todays cull will need to be a little more radical.

Crap Week

What a crap week - well 2 weeks (maybe a month) actually. The trusty laptop enables me to bosy from the ol sickbed tonight on the eve of my 38th Birthday. I'm sure in the UK I used to have summer bbq's at the farm...........

Whenever you're in hospital - DON'T get your hubbie to take the photos.....I think he's had a few too many - lol........ AS you can tell - the last 2 weeks have been spent at the hospital :0( As I got out of 1 - we got the call to be at another.....aaaaagh - anyway

Well HOT news (ish)

Myself, Bex, Jenny & Christine will be running some cardmaking classes in September/October in Putaruru, Hamilton, Cambridge & Rotorua to run in conjunction with WORLD CARD MAKING DAY on October 6th.............More news to follow...

just to say....

I've chosen the layouts above as I've been asked to show how to use the BEACH DAYS paper AND the BEACH BUBBLES paper NOT for beach layouts...I have overlaid the beach bubbles on top of the beach days paper and hidden the words underneath. John was in charge of the crap photography - but I'm too tired to complain at the moment - so a big thanks to Bex, for running the Trade Me side of things :0)

Until the next slide show.........

2 Horrible Weeks

Lordy lord - have spent the last 2 weeks in and out of hospital :0( Got out o one - to get home and find the call up to another!!! The nurses were fantastic though and Waikato nurses are the best - lol.......

Meccano & Lego

Todays thought is on Meccano & Lego - you know the great stuff that we had growing up - well usually it was brothers, but I was such a tomboy....John still has - utterly protected - an entire Meccano set awaiting the time that he thinks his boys are worthy.....Anyway, I was delivering my boys to a friends house yesterday, and the parents got talking about the old stuff - you know, Lego when it came in 2 sizes of bricks with a green pad at the bottom, and now when you get a lego set - there's not even a square or rectangular brick in sight..You can now click onto the Lego website and play interactive games, even Meccano has gone all high tech...Then, as I came home - I looked around and wondered WHAT would be a lifelong legacy of our kids - when most things get easily broken before they get out of the packet - then I felt old - really old - in fact bloody old - lol....So I suppose that in a way - it's more important to capture the play times and scrapbook them to remember the toys of today. Take the time to list favourite TV programmes, songs, latest crazes as they won't be around as long as the old stuff was...Anyway, there's my excuse to do no housework next week - hehehe. Wilma is on our list to visit next week, she's spent most of the last few months in and out of hospital, the Josie has a housewarming party (again) as her partner has moved in and she needs very little excuse for a party :0) Jenny has her final school ball next week - it seems like yesterday that she was turning a teenager working Saturdays at the shop - Laura too, and she has had her final school ball the other week. Cill - now that she works at the school- had her photo taken with Laura, and Christine can usually be seen running around in the Unichem drug bug - unless one of the other girls has blown it up (long story) so, that's catch up for this week ....stay warm & dry

Cardmaking Time.........

Oh well, things have been rather busy in our household...Amongst the ususal (and unusual) chaos, it's been cardmaking time....I can't seen to find the inclination to scrapbook at the moment, so I've been buying like mad off trade me, and making cards. Todays 3 have been posted. We've suddenly found ourselves in possesion of another 100 acres of land, so we're frantically trying to find more cows and more hours in the day. No word of a lie, I honestly do not know where I found the time to work before....
Anyway, I'm a POM, so I'm entitled to whinge.....
So todays cards are 15 x 15cm square and are made using Chatterbox papers, Bazzill cardstock, K & Co chipboard alphabets, Karen Foster antique alphas on the congrats card, BasicGrey alphas on the first thank you card, and Scenic Route alphas on the 2nd Thank U card - oops and a Bazzill ink pad too, with the addition of mini Prima flowers to finish it off.
Soo, with that underway, I'm awaiting the arrival of Becks to start loading onto Trade Me again and filing, filing and more filing - yea, what an exciting life we lead out here in the wops :0)
Until next time....STAY WARM

That Bloody Puppy.....

Well last week was a shocker - I seemed to be flat tack for the whole week - sooooo much to get in here and no time to do it :0( Trade Me went beserk, but as the surgeon has told me that I have to rest, things will be slowing down there for a while.... I can't wait for the basketball ans soccer season to finish, and for soccer, we had a bye, then 2 of our school teams played-at school, then Queens birthday, so I got 3 weekends lazy ass lie ins in a row.....

Who went to SENZ???Bex, Zeetra and myself were supposed to be going on Saturday then 1 by 1 couldn't, John thinks it's great because I couldn't spend - so I've been buying off Trade Me too - lol.....He was totally pissed off when he found out that I had bought a magazine seeing that I was selling 500 of them, and he still doesn't know about the ones still to arrive (along with the new stamps, pearlex and charms too - thanks Maz lol) - hey, a change is as ggod as a rest...lol
I just went to bid on something, and that bloody Bex was bidding on the same thing..

Angela & one of the Pats came for lunch last week and we had a great time catching up, and we're (Bex and myself) going to organise a local crop soon so when bloody Carol & Nat can NOT work for a weekend, we can get it sorted, so if you want to join in, just let me know :0)

That Bloody Puppy is ruling the roost and has us all waiting on her hand an foot - it's a pampered farm pooch who the kids have nicknamed princess because she acts all regal....

Well, my eyes are closing so until next time.......

UNDERPANTS....

Today is the first day that I have been able to stay home in the morning and deal to my washing and what I've discovered is alarming....I think that my boys seem to be wearing a pair of undies for every hour that they are awake....aaahhhhggghhh, I wish that they could do the same with their clothes! I don't know how many times I have to turn them back to their rooms with the same old conversation:

Me: You wore that yesterday
Them: Yes but it's still clean
Me: No it has bits of food on it from dinner
Them: Yes but if I hold my arm like this nobody will be able to see it.
Me: But I saw it
Them: But you knew that it was there
Me: - I say nothing and just give them "THAT" look
- they turn around and change their tee shirt under duress

Why does it have to happen like this every day...The thing is, I know that in 3 - 4 years time they will be piling me up with washing when their tee shirts have the slightest speck of dust on them.....Is this a boy thing, or all kids in general???????

The perfect excuse.....

Okay - so this is my perfect excuse for not posting - well as well as loading stuff onto trade me too. Meet the new member of the family - Izzie - and of course she has us all running around after her like lunatics.....She really was sleep, hanging off the sofa-lol. She fits in with us very well here as she is as mad as a meat axe- but has a hint of sassyness with way too much cuteability factor too. So dh has his birthday pressie early, and we all get to share it too :0)

Well another week gone by...

Eldest has spent the week in Auckland, as has Bex's eldest too, and Bex and I have spent the week winding down at the shop - which is our terminoligy for hiding from out kids & hubbies with a bag of lollies (not exactly sureslim, but this week I really didn't give a shit :-0) Will promise to post over the weekend with the bug removal piccies......

Sorry....yet again

Have sooo been trying to get on to update the blog and have been very slack indeed...SORRY. If it isn't hospital appts, or doctors or surgeons it's emptying the bloody shop STILL and we've only done the front - aaagh. I'm still on sureslim and today wanted to knaw off my arm I was sooo hungry. STILL - tomorrow is ANZAC Day as you all well know, and I have decided NOT to make any ANZAC biscuits so I can't eat them all - lol......AS usual, more stuff is going onto trade me, and this weekend, the ladybug will be lifted from her throne and moved to the daycare centre around the corner - and I'll have the perfect title for the page that will EVENTUALLY be scrapbooked - how many men does it take to move a ladybug.......So Saturday afternoon, the street will be blocked for a while as she is taken down. Now that the tables have gone from the shop, the place just totally echos - it seems sooooo wierd. Now I'm off so I can get tea made, sit down and watch dancing with the stars. In true fashion, I'm now over Brendan Pongia - yet most of my friends think that Frank Bunce is hot - so what do you think? I would sooo love Suzanne Paul to take the crown - one for the older generation and all that.....we'll see

Not got over it yet................

Oh for goodness sake - I'm at the surgeons tomorrow and for a scan on Monday so I needed a good image in my mind - AND A CLEAN ONE MRS BRUNTON.....Have to say that Zeetra sent me an email the other day - one of those particularly crappy days - and I laughed and laughed then laughed some more - it was basically saying - send this email to 10 more people and absolutely jack shit will happen - if you know what I mean. 6cm off may waist this week at sure slim just a sherman tank to go - but Brendon is forever in my thoughts mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Dancing With The Stars........Phwar

Who saw Brendon Pongia last night on dancing with the stars - had to turn up my meds for a while. Suzanne Paul was fantastic, but wasn't the eye candy that Brenon was and if you missed it - you sooooooo have to watch the re-run on Sunday. I've got 2 sick kids at the moment (YAY) so I'm off to sort them out - but just had to get this off my chest - lol....God bless Michael Laws for trying..............................

Well that was Easter.....

Easter seems to have come and gone in our house and left us all depleted of energy :0( Sunday was the Great Egg hunt, and I have one who has devoured his eggs before lunch, and the other who is STILL torturing us all with the speed of a tortoise when eating his chocolate - we are most concerned, as this is a gene that NONE of this family posess....lol.
Yesterday saw us over at Papamoa with friends and LOADS of kids in tow, we also had Rebecca, Belinda and Christine plus families too and ended up with a cricket match for the kids which quickly became an adults grudge match whilst the kids gave up and went to play on the playground - what good wholesome family fun...Not only content with being nackered and worn out, I've been up since 3am in agony and today I feel like crap - but the good part is that everyone else is still reeling from the long weekend to so even the boys are quiet - my prayers have really been answered. This week see's a new aim to get even more stuff onto Trade Me and I've found so many craft books that I'll have to sneak them home to get them online. The bug from our roof has sold :0( but is staying in Putaruru :0) and this week sees the mass exodous of tables etc to the relevant schools, and back on the rounds of hospital visits..NOT for much longer I hope.

It still seems funny when people ask how am I finding it now that I have nothing to do - I WISH...Theres probably enough Trade Me stuff to keep me & Becks busy until October - lol.

Oh well off to make lunch, then a nanna nap I think....

HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter everyone....Have finally had 2 days in the garden, gardening my style - ordering J around on the tractor, pulling out trees & shrubs AGAIN.... The kids are desperate for the Easter Bunny to arrive and the eldest thinks that because he knows "the truth" and hasn't blabbed to the youngest - that he deserves an extra egg. Tomorrow he will learn the harsh reality called life - lol. Everyone is soooo excited for Easter, well thet i'm not in hospital - phew. The egg hunt is planned, and I've gone way over the top making laminated clues for the kids (and friends kids) and a lunch - which we're all looking forward to.....The camera is at the ready, and at last I can scrap again, though how much time I will get through the holidays - we'll just have to see. The next round of hospital stuff is at the end of the holidays, so that will get J & me out for the day without the boys - whoo hoo something to keep the sanity - YAY.
So stay safe over the Easter break & don't forget the photies.....

Guess Where I've Been....

Yep spent most of last week stuck between hospital and packing a major sad......Spent most of the week between surgeons & hospital visits and the one day that I didn't have to go to the hospital, Becks and I went over to the childrens ward taking over all of the off-cuts and old stickers much to the delight of the craft co-ordinator who was also a scrapbooker.....We've got invites on the go for the Rotorua and Hamilton ladies and about 6 hours short in each day. Becks has dyed her hair blonde and I'm about to kill my kids and both Becks and I have come into the shop tonight for a huge rest.....ooops to get the place tidy, so until next time :0)

Can you see what I put up with....................

This is what I have to put up with...............The great Eddie White had his 40th birthday at the weekend, and my hubbie relished in it. It was an op shop ball and he was determined to look like a pimp ( no comments from those that have met him please) NO-ONE recognised him until he spoke of course. His black hair covered by a wig - which he had previously demanded that I cut before we set off..He loves it that I'm not allowed to drink as he has his sober driver...I WILL scrapbook his 2am look which was a wee tad different to this.....

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

Zeetra told me off :0(

Well not really - she emailed me to see if I was still alive, but I've had a shitty couple of weeks health wise, packed a sad and disappeared off the radar for a while. I'm back in hospital next week and totally over it..............Today was the first day NOT having to do something since closing the shop - HONEST - and was crook this morning - so stayed in bed, then felt guilty because the house was a hovel and got stuck into the house. I went to make muffins with the over-ripe bananas in the house and didn't even have flour in the pantry - so then had to do the groceries which was like a holiday as I didn't take the kids...STILL not got the incentive together to get a layout done - will have to catch up with Becks and get my a into g..Cills been digi-scrapping and I'm waiting to see her photos from college camp - probably an eye opener..It looks like Becks & I will be teaching scrapbooking at the primary school for a few weeks so I'd better get the car unpacked of the stuff from the shop - it's been in the farm car for 10 days now and it's beginning to feel like the back room :0( - hey Dallas - what's your blog addy???

Monday, March 12, 2007

Determination...

Determination for this week is to complete 1 layout. I'm not sure what on yet but I will do it. Becks was over this weekend and she hasn't done anything either, Cill is still doing here digi scrapping and though the thought of having a tidy crafting room appeals (I would only need my computer) the thought of no supplies would kill me. I'm a very tactile person and love the actual feel of each page - so what is everyone elses aim for this week???

Thursday, March 08, 2007

OOOpppsss.....

OOppss... Thought I'd better calm down before journaling again (lol). Been away being proded and poked again and today, Christine, Becks & myself are in having a HUGE clearout for the shop. We've got boxes marked for the kids ward at Waikato, kindies and schools and they're ready to go, I don't think that we could have supplied another association if we'd tried...The room at home is slowly shaping up, I'm almost there and today, I was supposed to be in hospital, but they cancelled at the last minute, it was only tests (but I've been waiting since last May for them), but I don't mind as the surgeon was needed to help in another case and the patient had really bad cancer so I'm hoping that they can help.....On the sales front, we'll get on the fixtures and fittings of the shop then we can go back to finishing off the regular sales on TM....SO nearly there, but need it ALL to be done, I'm over it now and apparently looking haggard - who needs friends. LOOK OUT FOR THE BIG ACCU-CUT MACHINE & DIES GOING ONTO TRADE ME....It's expensive but it will be a third of the price and is a commercial grade machine.

My youngest has gone on his school camp today and dad has taken him, last week he went with the eldest and did he take a camera, did he bloody hell so now I'm hoping that the school will have photos - not that I've had the chance to scrapbook yet :0( ....

If anyone out there used to get our crop boxes, on the box each month was a quote and on one of them it was about screaming down a mountain shouting whoo hoo and enjoying the journey - AND NOW I CAN'T FIND IT, can anyone help lil ol me please :0)

Until next time - may you be finding the inspiration that eludes me at the moment -lol

Totally Over It...

Well I am!! I'm over bloody prodding, poking, treatments that make me feel worse. I'm over the trade me thing to the point that tomorrow after yet more rounds of hospital crap, I'm making up 10 kits of everything and having the final auctions. NZ Post are seriously p*****ing me off with crap service but I'm glad that I can come on here and rant away........2 blackouts today which means the new meds are not working aaaaaaghhhh........Thanks for letting me do that :0)

Can We Bypass Last Week

Last week was absolutely shocking - so it's a new week and lets start again :-)

I ended up with the headaches that caused me to pass out, hospital appointments, more treatment, and Trade Me (aaagghh) Have decided that I'm just going to make massive packs with what is left and send them out in huge boxes, that way, all auctions can be underway this week and we can start the clear-out..............whoo hoo...My legs have gone completely today - post more treatment - so at this moment, I can't walk :0( BUT we went to Lake Rotoiti for the weekend as John's dad is 70 tomorrow so the whole family went for the weekend for rest & relaxation. Not an ounce of scrapbooking has been done but tonight I have to make a card for FIL so I'd better get a move on - lol - and of course, because of the crappy week, the room is STILL not done - lol

Sunday, February 18, 2007

WAY TOOO HOT.......

It's way too hot out there ALREADY...To hot to do anything outside, but my home today is cool for once, so off to tackle the rest of "THE BACK ROOM" please say a prayer for me in the event that I am never heard from again......Today, I was allowed a lie in , I think that it was so I don't look worn out & haggard when I see the surgeon tomorrow...Or mor like so I don't blame the early morning starts when the surgeon asks why I look soo haggard in the morning..LOL - sometimes I want to say - come live at my house for a week and that would explain everything! Christines hubbie bought a new car yesterday as a surprise (!!) and I tried to get Priscilla involved in a recipe swap because Blair does all of the cooking (ha ha) SHE WAS HORRIFIED, and sent me a lovely email to explain why she couldn't take part....use your imagination.. Anyway no more procrastination - to the back room I go

Pondering Moments........

Despite the attacks of nausea (or full on vomiting) John still insists on me getting the cows in morning & night between shop duties and hospital appointments - apparently it takes my mind off it..?*#@ and at least if I vomit, I'm already outside(well that's his view)!!! However, Autumn is whispering here in the mornings - it's bloody freezing cold at 5am, however the other morning, as the sun rose it looked awsome with the mist everywhere (before theat it was just plain spooky riding through misty woodland looking for cows!), I noticed how many of our gates had been replaced with new style tapes, and thought, in 20 years time, gates won't be used on farms anymore and it made me think about scrapbooking and how we preserve memories...Feeling inspired at the shed, I told John all about my nostalgic thoughts "you're not going to do a scrapbook page on &^%@#$ gates are you" he asked....NOSTALGIC MOMENT OVER...

I hope you guys get my point..........

I'll remember to take my camera one morning and will post my findings

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

Early start...

We'll, after finally getting home & getting to bed at 1.30am, John woke me at 5am to get the cows in as our worker has been given a weeks holiday -aaagh, go the boys on the bus at 8am and had to go back to bed for an hour - lol...What happened to the days of late nights and handling it?? Valentines day tomorrow, and it's not something that we've ever bothered with, so tonight whilst John was at golf, I bought some excercise equipment from TM and told John "thanks for my presents"....Well it is our 20th valentines together so I'd say he's been let off quite lightly. I'm looking for some inspiration at the moment to get some scrapbooking done - well actually, I'm looking for the time to do it :-( Keep thingking that I'll get everything cleared from the shop, then deal to it before the next surgery. The old nausea is back, so spending most of the time with my head down the loo until they sort out my new meds - surely this should be helping my attempts at sureslim. I think I'll have to get a little challenge going to encourage me to get time to do a layout - any suggestions???

New Packs On The Move......

Well Rebecca & I are still here at the shop getting the next lot of packs ready for TM...They're HUGE and as usual will all be going on for $1.00 reserve....There's a bumper harvest festival and Becks is part way through a massive mega paper pack - but we're whacked now and are on our way home...Retirement will appear at some stage - lol.........................

Sunday, February 11, 2007

No Scrapbooking Done.................

We've got soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many orders coming in on Trade Me that I haven't had the chance to get any scrapbooking done at all :-( We're in the middle of a major meds changeover, so let's just say that it's helping me along with my weight loss............lol....Saw Cill on Friday and all is well, and Wilma has been rushed back into hospital with her heart not working properly again - but she was rushed into Tokoroa right in the middle of the bus accident, how sad was the accident.. - so her exit may take a little longer. Christines already been asked if Viagra's available over the counter (lol) on her 1st day, and I think that only Becks has got any work completed - and she's the one with 2 kids under 4 at home. The last of our auctions go online this week - huge big bumper kits for $1 reserve - and FINALLY - check out the link to SOUL - we're back on our way and maybe this is the kick up the but that i need to use some of my supplies........As Zeetra pointed out on the comment below, I'm going to need to get using it once it becomes "visible" at home. Off to sort out the orders ready for tomorrow.....

Thursday, February 08, 2007

Another day....

Well today may be the day when I get a little scrapbooking done...I'm determined this week to have the boys new school photos done. My goals for this year is to scrap all new photos as soon as they're processed & printed, and worry about the older ones to scrap during calving when we go into hibernation mode. Finally got Sam onto the school bus this morning, and the poor thing has to stay on the bus whilst it's parked outside his ols school for a while (the one that he wanted to stay at...) DALLAS - I've finally clearing carpet in the back room - how's it going with you? I figured that we've been here 1 year at the end of May and that room HAS to be tidy by then.
Have decided to move the craft room into the other spare bedroom and thet means that my "stash" will now be way more visible - darn it..
Soul starts again tomorrow........

NEW TICKER TOO

AAAAGH - what does stress free mean?

Well' Becks & I have been flat out getting things online for TM and she decided to bid on something she liked and got her hands slapped for it. I went to get weighed and had lost another 1.5kgs - that's 8 1/4 in 3 weeks - and Christines new work colleagues were off sick today so she got landed in at the deep end. My two boys changed school today much to the elders disgust - and I have 2 surgeons asking me to keep my life as stress free as possible - WHAT THE HECK IS THAT - LOL!! Sam - my eldest - is comparing me to Eva Braun at the moment - I'm sure he'll come round - and the shop closure seems to be dragging on forever and ever. Clean up - load on - ship out, over and over (he he he) Now I am a whinging POM. Glad you liked the book Zeetra, and once again thanks for your help......Has anyone else had that first day back at school madness?? Surgeons again tomorrow - at least then I get quiet time in the car.........Until then

1 more day down...

Well, Christine, Jenny & I were in the shop today - the Trade Me sales are coming in fast and furious and Rebecca & I are putting them on from home but there's probably a month's worth of work ahead of us - phew. Our account on trade me is under Tomberlaa - thank god I haven't bought anything decidedly dodgy in the past - may-be I should have a little hidden account so no-one knows what I've been buying - lol! We took the kids out on the lake late yesterday - some friends had bought a sumo suit for their boat - being dragged behind a boat at full speed in an inflated suit made me thankfull of being able to use my illness as an excuse - it was genuine & honest at the same time - lol {the picture is from their advert by the way, I didn't see any of our guys smiling}. Out boat towed the banana then we had taken one of the neighbours kids with us and got him up on learner skis for the first time - the look on his face was absolutely priceless....The summer hols ar coming to an end and I'm going to have to get my a into g if I'm going to get those boys on the 8am bus.....Diet's going well - my pants fell of tonight [fastened] - WHAT AN HORRIFIC THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Change On The Western Front.......

Yes, we've changed the blog colours...

Well, I don't think that I could catch up with the blog in 1 go - you'd be snoring halfway through - but here's some snippets. Starting with Happy New Year everyone - because I think that I forgot to say it in the other posts.....(more on that later). Well, I managed to catch up with all of the (ex) store staff through January, with the exception of Judith, who's down in Ashburton - Rebecca & I were in the shop until last 1am this morning packing all of the orders coming in on Trade-Me.....We've been loading TM like mad tonight and the shop is definately looking worse for wear. Christine started her new job on Tuesday at Unichem across the road from the shop - so if you're in town - you'll have to go in and see her.....Priscilla & Josie have had to go back to work this week ready for the schools going back - Priscailla in student support at Putaruru College and Jose in the office at KatiKati, so their holidays came to an abrupt end. Rebecca had a challenging holiday - with me & my demands (lol) actually despite the size difference (she's an 8 and I'm a size 58) we have the same habits ( like working until the early hours of the morning), and sadly she lost her mother in law too during January and we're slowly getting back into the swing of things. There's probably about 4 weeks work left at the shop, then the next round of surgeries start for me. I joined sureslim and I've lost 7kgs in 17 days without having any limbs surgically removed...After my little episodes in November, I've lost alot of memory - but the girls don't seem to have noticed anything different..So if it isn't written down - it's lost into the abyss. Wilma is missing us all and has become a serial stalker - only joking [but she is missing us - HONEST !

Well now that we have things sorted, you should be able to post comments - we'd love to get this blog interactive.

And

Last snippet -

I've got some new designs on the boil - and watch out for some news about the old designs too....

Okay okay I know - don't shout!!

Please don't think that I've been slacking - we held all of the blooger details on Cills computer because I was away in hospital, and when the old blogger system switched to the new one we couldn't access them because Cill was away on holiday....SOOOORRRYYYYY. I promise that everything will be up to date this week and we'll be back on track...

The Morning After The WEEK Before

SESKING A RESCUE ANGEL........
Pure exhaustion I suppose is how you'd word it..Rebecca & I have been in this week as you well know, and Zeetra finally did turn up to the shop [after the comment on the last blog] on Thursday and picked up heaps of chipboard sheets that we had - only to forget them [she's excused beacuse she had the kids with her...] SOoooooooo - she came back to pick them up yesterday - BIG MISTAKE - poor Zeetra - who brought us her usual fare of Arnotts Mint Slice Balls (YUM) then got landed with many tasks including packing bags for customers and peeling adhesive sign writing from the shop window (mine & Rebeccas fingers are still dead so lord knows about Zeetras sore fingers) THEN becuase of Rebecca's waywayway bad asthma, Zeetra and myself set about cleaning off the sticky with paint stripper and meths. Of course being the dodgy gal our Z is, we had to keep an eye on her that she wasn't drinking the Meths...LOL - only joking (or are we?) Becks and I had to shoot over to Rotorua after we closed and then get back to the shop for the last of the G & T to be sent - well after 9. Next week sees us supposedly joining Christine & Jenny on holiday at Shelly Beach - judging by the weather - and the fact that my legs have packed in again - decisions decisions....................

THANK YOU ZEETRA

New Objects Of Desire.....

Well - there's a new thing to keep me going this week!
Fickle, I know because Daniel Craig didn't seem to last long but Jude Law was definately the best part of a mediocre movie[The Holiday].....Anyway..Christines away at the moment with the family including Jenny and in fear of being washed away when the rain hits the Corromandel - and if you know anyone at Cooks Beach camping ground, tell them to beware before next week when they move onto Shelley Beach......Priscilla was in the shop today looking fine & relaxed which ws more than we can say about me & Rebecca - we haven't managed lunch for the past 2 days as we've been soooooooooooooooooooooo busy (it doesn't seem to have any effect on me though!) Stock at the shop is RAPIDLY dwindling - maybe I should bring some of my home STUFF in - LOL....Don't foreget to drop in and see us if you're passing through. Where are you Zeetra?????

OOOPS - Wilma has been in Middlemore again after shopping in Auckland with her sister bringing on an angina attack (probably when she opened her purse...)
